The generation ship Jacob's Ladder has barely survived cataclysms from without and within. Now, riding the shock wave of a nova blast toward an uncertain destiny, the damaged ship remains a war zone. It was a bit of a disappointment after the build up in Dust, but if you liked dust it is probably worth a read just to finish it off.

Excellent follow-up to Dust. The style is similiar to her Promethean Novels however the Sci-Fi edge to them is far more fulfilling. The story line for the particular book moves well although the overall plot line of the series is somewhat neglected receiving only dribs and drabs of development. The hardest part will be waiting for the next installment.
