This was an easy, light summer read that kept my interest and made me want to keep turning the pages. It is the first Elin Hilderbrand book I have read and I will read more.

Beach read. The writing isn't terrible and the story is good enough, but I'm not running back for more.

I just love all of her books, I can hardly wait for my daily fill of pleasure that I get from reading Elin's novels !! I have read 4 so far and am looking forward to reading them all :)

The book was okay – but not one of my favorites.

I enjoyed this book as I enjoy all of Hilderbrand's novels. A good summer read: interesting, well enough written and with some substance, but not too deep. Explores grief and, of course, love. Sometimes I thought the 30 year old daughters to act more like teens, but perhaps I have forgotten how immature I was at that age. Helderbrand did show growth in all the characters.

Perfect beach reading material. A mother, two daughters and the mother's sister plan to spend a month at their Island cottage. It has been unused for 13 years but these ladies need to get rid of some old problems and take on some new ones and all while doing some serious bonding. The isolation and lack of luxuries make it difficult to avoid each other or their problems.. Sometimes I found it hard to make a connection to the characters---they are all from that world of fabulous high paying jobs, country clubs and wealth. All things in consideration though it is a good summer read.

I really enjoyed this book - my second so far by this author and I am looking forward to reading more of her work. Family drama & secrets, relationships, loss, learning and growing. All of this taking place over one month at a family home in Nantucket. This was the perfect summer read!
