You can tell that the author knows his stuff. I found other cookbooks to be only somewhat credible, in this one every single recipe looks delicious!

This looks like a practical cookbook because it's full of recipes that people who don't want to LIVE in the kitchen might actually make. Roettinger has what appear to be excellent suggestions for creating tasty and time-saving spice mixtures for various ethnic cuisines. (He's also witty.) Have yet to search for these ingredients, but that should be an interesting exercise in itself. Using them to produce what sound like mouth-watering dishes (all of which take less than 30 minutes to prepare) ought to be even more fun. After that will come the best part: eating the results.
