"Strangler's wood", episode 7, show time February 1999, filming July/August 1998. There are the usual three murdersto the usual Midsomer Murders episode but they took place 10 years ago and have remained unsolved. The original investigating officer has been retired by is sitll looking for the killer: poor man can't sleep at night. Suddenly a new murder takes place in "strangler's wood" and now Barnaby and Troy have to solve not just it but the previous 3. Has the killer started again? Two more murders occur and finger pointing is beginning. As we probe the lives and people involved we see that no one is appears to be kind of person a normal person would want to associate. I will say that behind the scenes there is another murderer parading in full view of everyone and yet no one can stop him: I mean "cigarette smoking" which has shortened the lives of millions of foolish people. CSI is not the strong point to any of these episodes. If it were then the original murders would have been solved 10 years ago. (10/9/18)
