When an Orthodox Jew is found shot to death in Montreal, Temperance Brennan, forensic examinator, is called in. A stranger slips her a photograph of a skeleton. Along with Detective Andrew Ryan and biblical archeologist Jake Drum, she travels to Israel to probe the origins of the skeleton and the ancient crypt in which it was found. Have they made a startling discovery that could rewrite 2000 years of religious history? Or, has someone concocted an elaborate hoax?

Not one of my favorites of hers. Lots of Jewish historical stuff to wade through, hard to keep my focus.

Historical work of fiction with redundant hypothesis; I would have sliced pages off. I had lost my interest by the end, when the action picked up...

This one was ok but dragged on a bit for me. I have no interest in religion so maybe that's why. Some plot elements turned out to be absolutely unrelated to the central mystery which I find strange. Probably could skip this one and not lose anything in the overall story arc.

I couldn't put this one down! Kathy Reichs ability to integrate historical religious stories with modern day science makes Dan Brown look like an ameatur!!! Be prepared to find yourself losing track of time once you dive into this one!
