An Epic of Two Worlds

In a world as rich and real as our own, Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell stand against the ancient forces which besiege the New World-- forces so terrible that when last they threatened, they could only be withstood by sealing off the Old World from whence they came. Now the barrier has been breached, and the New World is again beset by their evil power.

War and treachery plague the world, and only Richard and Kahlan can save it from an armageddon of unimaginable savagery and destruction.

Terry Goodkind, author of the brilliant bestsellers Wizard's First Rule and Stone of Tears , has created his most masterful epic yet, a sumptuous feast of magic and excitement replete with the wonders of his unique fantasy vision.

This book falls right with the first two in keeping with the series.

Blood of the Fold started very slow. about halfway through however, it instantly picks up and keeps strong until the end. I felt as if Goodkind's writing had gotten a little better in this book.

I thought he created a lot of chemistry between the characters in the beginning. I know sometimes it can create tension for the story to keep characters from each other but I think Goodkind went too far. I want to see him using that chemistry and having main characters interact with each other more. That is what drew me into this series in the beginning. However, I did like some of the focus on some of the side characters, and he left many characters I still want to know about like the dream walker. Also he left the door really wide open for the next installment.

Some of the places the characters visited had a very cool dungeon crawling vibe to them. I also luuuuuggggg Graaaaatch!

I liked the first two books, but this third installment is terrible. Made it about 50 pages and decided the author clearly lost his mojo.

PS - There is only one book at the library, so I went to a used bookstore to buy this book. I am donating it today! If you still intend to read this garbage, there should be two copies available now.

i think it was a good book but it needs more focus on the main characters. it keep trailing off inot un-important people. but it was good in the end when it all made sense again.
in all : good

This third book in the Sword of Truth series does not have the well thought out plot line as in Goodkind's other novels. Some events seem to draw on, and then others come up out of the blue leaving some readers confused.
