I really enjoyed the beginning and middle parts of this book but found the ending slightly disappointing. That said it is an intriguing book and all the twists make for a pretty decent read.
Very hard to put down for those who like twisty mysteries. Quite a few big twists...the last one was one too many and stretched plausibility...but great fun, nonetheless!
This book is full of unexpected turns up until the very end. The constant is Robert, the prince charming who is swooping in to rescue Nellie from an "average" life without his money and assistance in shaping her destiny. Even though I did my very best to assume nothing as advised, I still found many times when the plot would take a delightful turn and give me a totally unexpected new look at the story. Highly recommended!
This was a great read, reminded me a little of "Behind Closed Doors", but not as intense. Lots of twists and good to the last page.
I wanted to love this book but it was an okay read. The first part of the book intrigued me, I was curious to see where it would go. But then the multiple twists at the very end, where you find numerous twists upon twists jammed together felt a little contrived. A few of them were unrealistic too. A so so book.
Assume nothing is right. With all the twists I was still surprized at the end.
This one is great!! Couldn't put it down. Lots of twists that I couldn't guess
I think I enjoyed this one. I read it very quickly, and always wanted to know more about what would happen next. The separate parts of the book involved many plot twists that I did not see coming. However, I found myself questioning whether the number of character twists were necessary. Everyone is unreliable, and although both male and female characters tend to be extremely unlikable much of the time, the women are portrayed in a very negative light in comparison. This being said, I did think that with the exception of the unhealthy relationship aspect that seems to be a main idea within thrillers these days, the connections between characters and unique plot twists were a refreshing change.
The twist at the end upended my assumption about the book. Worth it for that alone. Very "Gone Girl".
Simply could not put down. Author very descriptive so it puts you right in the scene.

Kind of confusing re who was the present wife, past wife, current girlfriend and, in the end, somewhat predictable.
Solid suspense/thriller. The twist revealed in Part 2 was inventive and surprising. The rest of it felt a little recycled, in the vein of Big Little Lies and other books I've read recently about despicable men and their victimized partners (The Last Mrs. Parrish, for example).
So displeased with this one. Such a disappointment.
Excellent Read! Loved the twists and turns throughout the story. Stayed up half the night to finish it! Mystery lovers will like this one!
Really great read! Suspenseful and a page turner! Probably one of my favorites I have read this year. You will love this book if you liked Gone Girl, really reminds me of that kind of plot twist.
When you read this book, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are reading about a jealous wife and her obsession with her replacement. You will assume you are reading about a woman about to enter a new marriage with the man she loves. You will assume the first wife was a disaster and that the husband was well rid of her. You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships. Assume nothing.

I gave up about one-third of the way through the book. It got rave reviews, but I don't know why. It's way too confusing, as the description implies.
Another book in the "Gone Girl on the Train" vein. I read this one in about 3 days; I would have finished earlier if I didn't have to sleep/eat/work--you know, live my life. The story unfolds at first with a nice back and forth between two connected characters. Then Part 2 starts up and the twists really begin to unfold. The authors manage to build a fairly intense thriller that picks up speed nicely as it goes along. I found the ending twist to just be OK--it just was not as shocking as I think they were going for. That said, this is a great summer-time beach/airplane/hammock read.

I give this book a rating of 5 stars. It had me guessing the whole way through. The book was very slow in the beginning. But I had heard many good things about this book, so I kept reading. It started to get good at about 40% of the way through. It was very suspenseful and had many twists and turns. I recommend reading it.
Very very good beginning, good twist. But then it falters a little with the ending.
I like a story that grabs you right away and keeps my interest. I couldn't put this book down! Filled with twists and turns, it kept me guessing until the very end. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller, don't miss this title.
Sucked me right in and kept me intrigued in wrapping my brain around the twists. However I was a bit disappointed in how it devolved into the same old story (and I won't reveal what story that is because you should still read it!).
Interesting read. Two of the main stories are repeats. Don’t know if they are repeats of her other books or somewhere else.
This was an ok, entertaining book. By no means did it keep me riveted. There also seems to be something fundamentally off with the writing style. It just didn't flow like it should.
