I can see how this might *almost* hold up as a stage production -- for the sheer spectacle of it, and if you're already a Wizarding World fan. But man, this was a pain to read. So repetitious and flat. MPA ratings: PG for language and for…

This book just bounces everywhere and it's hard to understand

This book provided a new twist on the Harry Potter stories many grew up reading. Now, instead of looking at an orphan struggling with his destiny, we look at a middle child who struggles to impress his family, whose legacy and namesake…

While giving Potterheads (like myself) a great way to continue the main character's story, I feel as thou it was a very forced plot and relied heavily on "unexpected" (Read, Expected) tropes to move forward. Even despite this I did enjoy…

To be honest, this book wasn't as good as the other Harry Potter books. I did like it, yes, but I feel like some characters are kind of OOC in this book... But I found the plot and the new characters quite intriguing.

This being a sequel to the Harry Potter series had my expectations very high in terms of writing and story building/telling. The way that the story was written was very good as it was in a script writing style. The book was written in the…

It gets off to a very slow start, but becomes a fairly good story. Nowhere near as fun to read as the novels. I don't know what kind of reviews the play got, but it would be quite a technical feat to stage it as described.

Read this in preparation of seeing the stage production. Can't wait to see how they are going to pull this off! It was good to catch up with some familiar characters and meet the new generation.

Some of the characters are out of character. The main character Albus Potter is whiny. I hated the part when Harry said "Sometimes I wish you weren't my son." to Albus. There are many contradictions to Harry Potter characters and events in…

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE BOOK (if you want to call it a book) I went into this, thinking it was going to be amazing. WRONG. DEAD WRONG. It was HORRIBLE. I don't know what got into Rowling's head that made her write this (her, Thorne, and…

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth installment of the Harry Potter collection, and though it is decent, it is not nearly as good as the rest of the books. It follows the story of Harry Potter’s second son, Albus Severus…

This continuation of the Harry Potter series is great. We get to see the main characters from the original series grow up and have their own families. Jack Thorne did a good job of continuing the story, but it did not have the same effect…

An interesting and entrapping work by very gifted playwrights, but a totally unnecessary addition to the series. This play reads like a "money-grab" and unfortunately does not live up to the iconic series about the boy who lived.

It's a bad fanfiction. With all the head-smashingly trite tropes of a bad fanfiction.

This book was so awesome that I had to read it at least 20 times. The plot is fascinating, and the story of Albus and Scorpius is very heartwarming and a bit weird. It is a very nice book.

I did not like this book as much as I expected to. The first seven Harry Potter books I enjoyed and were very entertaining, this one was unfortunately not. Not much happens in this book, unlike the first seven that were full of action.…

Absolutely disappointing. As a huge Harry Potter fan, it was absolutely devastating and painful to read through this. It did not follow any plots of the previous books. The characters has a completely different personality than the ones…

I liked this book a lot. But not as much as any of the other books about Harry Potter. This book was confusing to read because it had the script. But it was not that bad. I think it was a good way to have a story about Harry Potter's …

Although I enjoyed this book, I think it really lacked JKR's style of writing. I love the way she writes in her other books, and this one- bc it was NOT written by Rowling- just wasn't the same. The other thing I didn't like about this…
